The Friends Group
The Friends of the Jonesville Public Library was reorganized in April 2004. The group shares a common interest in commitment to improving library services. On a small scale the group has sponsored programs and individuals have volunteered to work at the library. The ultimate goal and the main purpose in reorganizing the group is to spearhead a project that will eventually give the library a much needed larger facility. The Friends Group is cooperating with the Town of Jonesville to raise funds and find ways to move the library to a larger building. The friends meet on the second Thursday of every month at the library. Each and every member is a valuable resource to the library no matter how large or small their involvement with the group may be. Membership dues of $1.00 per person are collected annually as a way to maintain an updated list of active members.
